Samepage Solidifies Position as Leader in Contextual Engagement and Digital Collaboration with Mobile Breakthrough
SAN JOSE, CA – APRIL 2, 2015 – Samepage, the free online place where people can communicate and share content with context, today announced a breakthrough in mobile collaboration: the capability for real-time collaborative editing across the entire Samepage platform, including Samepage’s mobile apps for iOS and Android. In addition, the company unveiled today significant additional improvements to its mobile apps.
“We’ve solved the technical challenge to deliver real-time mobile collaboration that is both easy-to-use and scalable,” said Scott Schreiman, CEO of Samepage. “Samepage has combined this powerful capability with our revolutionary approach of offering a free service for creating and sharing online pages with others.”
The need for more effective mobile collaboration can be seen in the growth of the remote workforce. IDC mobile-worker research indicates that 37% of the global workforce, 1.3 billion people, are not working in an office building.
“Business users are increasingly looking for services that make it easier to collaborate in a contextual manner. The page-centric approach of new services, such as Samepage, offers the flexibility that makes it easy for business users to embed collaboration in their workflows,” said Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst at Aragon Research. “Like many areas of business software, collaboration is being strongly impacted by the growth of smart devices and the mobile, dispersed workforce.”
The enhanced Samepage mobile apps helps people to stay in the loop with Samepage newsfeeds and comments. They can now create and manage content on the go with page creation, picture import, text editing and basic task management. The ability for real-time collaborative text editing via a mobile app brings a new level of collaboration to the Samepage platform.
