Overview

Samepage gives you the flexibility to manage tasks in a way that suits your workflow.

You can create, view, and manage tasks from three places in Samepage:

My Tasks: This is where you can create and manage your tasks. Toggle between tasks for you and tasks you've created for others.

Team Tasks: This is a designated space to create and manage tasks within the team. Filter team tasks by all, assigned, or unassigned.

Tasks on a Team Page: You can also create and manage tasks right on a page. This is a great way to keep project details and action items together in one place.


Creating a Task from My Tasks

  1. From the main navigation dock, select My Tasks.
  2. Click Create New Task.

  1. From the main navigation dock, select the team you want.
  2. From the team menu, select Tasks.
  3. Click "Create Task," then enter task information.


Creating a Task from a Team Page

  1. On a team page, click the green plus sign and select Task from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter task information.

Quick Tip: If you're on a Team Page, you can type the square brackets "[]" followed by a space and task name, to quickly create a task.


Assigning a Task

When creating a task, you have the option to:

  • keep the task unassigned
  • assign the task to yourself or someone else
  • assign the task to multiple participants

Everyone involved with the task will see it in their respective My Tasks and Team Tasks sections. In addition, both the assignee and participant(s) will be able to edit the task and mark it complete.


Entering Task Information

You can add the following information to your task:

  • Due Date and Reminder Time
  • Assignee
  • Participants
  • Details
  • Color Coding
  • Progress Tracker (Pro-only feature)

Adding checklists, bullet lists, & numbered lists to a task

The "Details..." section of a task can be used to create structured lists.

Checklist

Simply click to edit the "Details..." section of the task, type brackets like this [], hit the spacebar, and type a title. Hit Enter and you'll see a clickable checkbox appear next to your new sub-task. Repeat the process to add multiple sub-tasks. It'll look like this:

Bullet List

Start by typing the asterisk symbol or a hyphen, a space, and a title. Upon hitting Enter, the asterisk will convert to a proper bullet point and the next line in the list will have one too.

Numbered list within a task

Numbered List

Create a numbered list by clicking in the "Details..." section of the task, typing 1, a period, a space, and a title. Hit Enter and it'll kick into numbered list mode, creating a second line, starting with 2. Here's an example:

To edit a task:

Simply click on the task to display the task box. Make changes, then click the 'x' on the top right to close the task box.
