Use mentions to call out special attention to people, pages, files and folders in Samepage.
You can mention a person in any chat conversation. There are two ways to do it:
Whichever way you use "mention," the person will receive a red dot notification marked with an "@" symbol, letting them know they've been mentioned.
Note: If the user's name is all lower case, you must include "@" at the beginning of the name in order for the mention feature to work.
You can mention any page you have access to in Samepage. Mentioning a page in a chat, task or event description, or even on another page provides a quick link to the particular page you want to reference.
To mention a page, type "@page name", then select the page you want to link. Any user can then click on that link to be directed to that page.
If a file is located in a team's FILES section where you have access, you can mention it anywhere in Samepage. Mentioning a file provides a quick link to the file you want to reference.
To mention a file, type "@file name", then select the file you want to link. Any user can then click on that link to be directed to that file.
Note: Guests must be guests of a team (not just a page) in order to @mention a file in the team's FILES section.
