Revamped Project Management with Samepage
Samepage's primary focus has always been documents and the team collaboration around them. And it excels in that area. Tasks and events have been a great complement to manage projects and processes around Samepage documents. Today we are making a big leap forward as tasks and events are now first-class citizens in the product.
In the past 3 months, we have spent a great deal of time rethinking the tasks and events workflow in our live document environment. We didn't want to complicate the product as we know you love the Samepage because it's simple and elegant. Yet, we wanted to add some crucial features to tasks and events. We can't wait to hear what you think!
Task / Event Chat
Every task and event has its own chat panel now. While it was fine to discuss tasks and events in the document chat, chatting directly in the task or event is much better. Your communication is even more contextually relevant.
Task / Event History
Task and event chat feed not only contains the conversation but also captures changes made to the specified task or event. Are you looking for who created a particular task or added you to a specific event? It's there! Furthermore, any conversation happening in a task or event is visible in the document chat to prevent hidden conversation. Every conversation matters!
We made a substantial improvement here. Not only you get special notifications when the task is due, but you can also snooze the alert to get reminded again. This ensures you will never lose a task that you cannot complete right now. Having overdue tasks is natural. Losing sight of such tasks is not.
Revamped Page Agenda
The Document Agenda has undergone some minor layout changes to better reflect the mobile environment and not be in the way if you don't need it.
Everything described above is naturally available in the latest mobile application as well. More importantly, all the design considerations taken on the desktop are closely tied to the mobile environment. Ensuring you can switch between desktop and mobile seamlessly because the navigation and critical elements are still in the same places.
Task Report Document
Last but not least is the Task Report Document. Create as many various task reports as you wish. Save them, share them. It's pretty easy now to have a set of Tasks Reports for your team, your project, or the entire organization.
That's it for today.
It was a great challenge for our team to make all of this come together, and we're surely working on making more improvements in weeks to come. We hope our new features will save you some time ;)
As always, we appreciate any feedback, whether it's negative or positive. We love to improve.
